The Marriott’s Village d’ile-de-France is situated in Bailly- Romainvilliers, 40 km away from the Charles De Gaulle Airport. This stunning countryside resort is also a golf resort with beautiful villas and townhomes perfect for a family vacation.

During our last visit to Marriott Village, and taking a break from writing in this blog and at kesihatanalternatif.com, we had the opportunity to stay at one of the beautiful townhouses. The townhouse is facing the pond and near the reception area. Since we came during the winter, we get to witness a beautiful moment of the whole area covered with snow. The decoration and amenities of the townhouse were excellent. You can also see ducks and swan wandering around the lake, and it was a beautiful sight.

Although we loved the place, we wanted to do more than just relaxing at the resort. Besides the city, which is a 55 minutes train ride from Chessy station. We wanted something else to visit while staying at the village.

We found out there’s plenty of great attractions to visit too.

Like taking a day trip to French chateaus, gardens and beautiful countryside, which are quite close from the resort.

Below are some ideas on what to do near Marriott Village.

Disneyland Paris

Walking into Disneyland Park with the right attitude is like taking a day off from the real world. You see a beautiful castle and your favorite childhood Disney characters come to life. You know it’s not real, but you can’t help feel the joy. That’s the magic of Disney.

We loved the kid-friendly Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan ride. But if you are an adrenaline junkie, there’s a ride for you too! Hop on to Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain and scream your lungs out.

Be sure to visit Disney Village, situated near the entrance of the park. It has a few selections of restaurants and Disney shops that opens until midnight. You can watch Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show with Mickey and Friends. While enjoying some Texan meal and watching the show.

This magical place is located 5 km away from Marriott Village Resort. The resort offers back and forth daily shuttle to the Disneyland Park. Get the schedule and information from the resort front desk.

Walt Disney

Located next to Disneyland Park, Walt Disney offers unlimited fun for all. You can enjoy watching various magical scenes from Disney films and television. Meet and greet your favorite Disney characters and watch an exciting live stage performance.

If you love the movie, Armageddon, you don’t want to miss Armageddon – Les Effets Speciaux, a 20 minutes behind the scene show, with sounds and lighting that will give you insight to how the movie was made.

And if intense rides give you joy, hop on to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for a spin. There are few other rides for smaller children and family too, like Aladdin Magic Carpet and Ratatouille.

Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular is a must show to see in Walt Disney, Paris. It’s pure adrenaline and cool stunts, and will leave you in awe after watching it.

La Vallee Shopping Village/ Val D’Europe

La Vallee Shopping Village is located 5 km away from the Marriott Village Resort. It has more than 150 outlets with French and international popular brands. Some of the famous global brands you can get here are Primark, Zara, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and more.

The 1,000,000 square feet mall, has a large Auchan hypermarket, and a food court known as “Les Terrasses.

The operation hours are from 10 am to 9 pm daily from Monday to Sunday.

Aquarium Sea Life Val d’Europe

Discover 50 tanks of colorful marine life and walk beneath the 360 degrees, see-through underwater tunnel. And catch an up-close exhilarating moment with sharks.

There are more than 5,000 incredible sea creatures. Including the amazing Green Sea Turtles and penguins. You can watch stingrays and different other species of fish as well.

You can spend some time learning about sea life by taking fun quiz trails. And listen to an interactive talk from the knowledgeable staff there. This place aims to engage and inspire kids to learn, love and care for the marine’s life, it’s a must place to visit.

This attraction opens daily from 10 am to 6 30 pm daily.

Episcopal town of Meaux

Meaux is one of the french towns known for art and history. Famous for its white and creamy Brie. This historic center is a former Episcopal town. Prosperous of a great- preserved legacy.

Located 18.6 km away from the Marriott’s Village d’ile-de-France, you can visit the Gothic Saint – Etienne cathedral. The town’s famous landmark built during the 12th to 14th century. This stunningly beautiful cathedral is an excellent illustration of the different periods of Gothic art and architecture.

While in Meaux, take time to visit other historical attractions like Musée Bossuet, Vieux Chapitre, and Remparts de Meaux.

Try the local delicacies like the infamous brie de Meaux, a soft cow milk cheese. If you are a cheese lover, be sure to come here between April and September. When the cheese is maturing just right, creamier and at its best!

Loire Valley

Loire Valley is located 90 km away from Marriott Village. A home for beautiful and intricate chateaux, the most famous renaissance castles and several charming towns. Loire Valley, is worth a visit.

It is known for significant castles dating between the 15th and 17th century. It was built by the French King and various noblemen. A famous châteaux in Loire Valley is Château d’Amboise. This luxurious chateau has stylish gardens, and it is the burial site of Leonardo Da Vinci.

Visit the town called Blois, popular amongst tourists. The famous Chateaux de’ Blois is situated here in this town. Blois is beautiful with plenty of historical sights and a lively place.

Marriott Village is a beautiful resort, perfect for a family vacation. There’s so much fun and exciting things to do here. And the great things is, there are plenty of things to see near the area as well.
