The waters flowing through the Limon Waterfall comes from the Arroyo Chico River and falls into a pristine natural pool. The entrance to the trail to Limon is landmarked by a restaurant.

The waterfall is not only the highlight of the trip to this peninsula though. There also lies lush landscapes of subtropical forests that are likewise captivating for the tourists. Due to its isolated nature, vehicles cannot travel you through to the waterfalls. Here comes the exciting part! You can go horseback riding or hiking to the foot of the waterfalls which will make the trip more interesting and fun.

Most tourists would prefer to go horseback riding because the journey could be a little grueling. The horses would take you through tropical plantation, vegetation, across rivers and up steep paths. The ride would roughly be for about half an hour and is surely worth the extra cost. Although riding a horse would be more comfortable, sometimes, the trail would require you to dismount or walk through.

If you are highly enthusiastic about working up the muscles, you can choose the other option in getting to the falls: hiking. It would take you about forty-five minutes to an hour to reach your destination, depending on your pace. It is possible for you to take the journey alone but the paths could get a little slippery, tricky and confusing. Given that, it would still be best if you were to hire a guide to prevent from getting lost or hiking longer than you’re supposed to.
