Take a scenic trip to Norway through the all-time tourist favorite Nutshell trips. The “Norway in a Nutshell” label is a registered feature of the Fjord tours.
Vacationers would start off at the cities where everyone would get to see places like Oslo and Bergen. But to really savor the beauty of Norway, you would want to travel out of the fjords as well.
The best thing in Norway are its scenic views. The fjords are mostly the ones that the tour would highlight on but among the other beautiful scenery include glaciers, mountains and waterfalls that will make you glare in wonder. Rich in waterfalls, Norway truly is the city where everything falls into perfection.
Norway in a Nutshell would give vacationers a great taste of everything Norway. Best part is, you not only get to travel on one transportation but you also get to jump into buses, trains and ferries as you roam around Norway’s magnificent fjords.
The most basic Nutshell trip will take you on a round trip from Bergen for an entire day. As you would depart from Bergen on a train to Myrdal in the morning, you will get to see its magnificent structured towns surrounded by bodies of water and a variety of colorful trees. The Bergen Railway is a high altitude train. So you should buckle up and see through the windows for windswept mountains, clear glaciers, twinkling lakes and heavenly waterfalls.
All of those things are only a taste of what else this Nutshell trip has in store for you from Flam Railway. When you get off the train from Myrdal and hop on to another one to the village of Flam, you’ll also be able to see more of attractive scenery.
In Flam, you will the be taken aboard a sightseeing boat and continue drooling over those serene Norwegian views of magnificent fjords. You’ll begin at the Aurlandsfjord which is a narrow arm at the tip of Sognefjord. Just as the pathway seems to be inviting you to more places to go to, you will then sail on to the Naeroyfjord and end your two hour boat trip at Gudvangen.
You can either choose to start your trip from Oslo to Bergen or vice versa, whichever you prefer. You may also have the honor of being able to choose to break the journey into two or three days rather than just one long hasty day from shifting from buses to trains and ferries.
You can either break the journey and spend the rest of the day hiking or going to the adorable village of Aurland. You could use this as a round trip from Oslo and stop for a couple of days to visit Bergen.
You can fuse your trip with visits to other fjords such as the Hardangerfjord or the Geirangerfjord.
The Norwegian Company Fjord Tours provides for many different vacation trip packages that any traveler can choose which ones are the best for them in this Norway in a Nutshell vacation.
